Our decisions, and our presence and role in our decisions—this was the narrative of this collection. In the contemporary world, automatic decision-making became more and more popular. There are studies about it; most say that very often it prevents us from harming others and avoiding harm to ourselves. But where are we in those decisions? Are we a little lost?! Usually, we are avoiding the harmful or maybe sharp results of our decisions. It’s always hard when you’re faced with a difficult choice. More and more often, we try different self-distancing techniques—like we skip ourselves from them, we try to distance from our decisions, we try to be and not to be at the same time, and very often we forget that we are our decisions. We tried to translate this concept into jewelry language; with surrealistic symbols and bold forms, it’s all about our SS23.
